STANFORD, Calif. (www.mubadalasvc.com) – Agnieszka Radwanska, the fourth-ranked tennis player in the world, has officially committed to compete in the 2013 Bank of the West Classic. The addition of Radwanska strengthens an already impressive player field which includes World No. 2 and four-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova, World No. 9 and 2011 US Open champion Sam Stosur, as well as World No. 13 and 2009 Bank of the West Classic champion Marion Bartoli.

Radwanska, who will be making her fourth Bank of the West Classic appearance, has 12 career singles titles to her credit including two already this season. She is currently competing at the French Open where she has advanced to the quarterfinals.
A native of Poland, Radwanska became the first Polish player in history to claim a WTA tour singles title in 2007 and in 2012 recorded her most impressive victory to date at the Sony Open in Miami. She did not drop a set en route to the Sony Open title which included a final’s victory over Maria Sharapova.
2012 was a break out year for the young star capturing three singles titles, advancing to her first career Grand Slam final at Wimbledon and reaching a career-high ranking of No. 2 in the world. She ended 2012 ranked No. 4 in the world marking her first career top-5 year-end finish.
The 24-year-old has continued her strong play into the 2013 season compiling an overall record singles record of 24-7 including singles titles in Auckland and Sydney.
