STANFORD, Calif. – The Wimbledon Championship released its seeds for the 2016 tournament and seven women entered to play next month’s Bank of the West Classic are on the list including third-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska and ninth-seeded Venus Williams.
Other Bank of the West Classic entries seeded including No. 17 Johanna Konta, No. 20 Dominika Cibulkova, No. 22 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, No. 28 Coco Vandaweghe and No. 30 Daria Kasatkina.
Competitors will find out who they will play in their opening round matches on Friday, June 24 when the Wimbledon draw is announced. The third Grand Slam tournament of the year will begin play on Monday, June 27.
The Bank of the West Classic will be played July 18-24 at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium on the campus of Stanford University.
The impressive player field includes 13 players that have won at least one career WTA singles title. The 2016 player field has combined to win 94 career WTA singles titles.
