STANFORD, Calif. (www.mubadalasvc.com) – The television team for the 2014 Bank of the West Classic has been announced and it includes some of the biggest names in tennis. The tournament will be televised on ESPN2 and Tennis Channel.

ESPN2 will televise one quarterfinal, semifinal and the final, called by tennis greats Pam Shriver, Chrissie Evert and Mary Joe Fernandez. Shriver, a 21-time singles champion in her 18-year career, and Fernandez, a 7-time singles champion during her 14-year career, were both doubles champions in Stanford. Shriver partnered with Martina Navratilova in 1984 to claim the title and Fernandez teamed up with Lindsay Davenport to win the Bank of the West Classic doubles title in 1996. Evert, an 18-time Grand Slam singles champion, was virtually unstoppable when she competed in the Bay Area claiming three singles titles (1975, 1976 and 1986) and three doubles titles (1974, 1975 and 1979).

Tennis Channel will televise the second, third and fourth rounds as well as a quarterfinal and semifinal of the longest-running women-only professional tennis tournament in the world, called by Ted Robinson, recent Tennis Hall of Fame inductee Lindsay Davenport and Rennae Stubbs. Davenport and Stubbs are both former champions of this tournament. Davenport took home Bank of the West Classic singles titles in 1998, 1999 and 2004, and she also holds the record for the most doubles titles in Stanford with six. Stubbs was the doubles champion of Stanford in 2002 and 2005. Robinson has done on-air work for Tennis Channel since 2007 and has two decades worth of tennis coverage experience, including multiple Grand Slams.
